Zaneta Vitova

is a member of several projects focused on free improvisation and contemporary music. She is part of Dust in the Groove, a project that brings together classical and jazz musicians. With the ConTRIOlogy trio, she performs new works by Czech composers. She also regularly performs with the Ensemble Opera Diversa and the Brno Contemporary Orchestra.

Her personal projects include composing music and sound for the dance performance NOT A SWAN and co-recording the album Interference with singer Annabelle Plum. This album blends composed and improvised parts, using extended techniques for both accordion and voice. In 2021, she published a textbook for accordionists, Akordeon vypráví (The Accordion Narrates), which introduces beginners and advanced players to the world of improvisation. She also composed music for the dance performance Assamblagge in collaboration with the dance group ME – SA.

Die Musikerin ist Mitglied in mehreren Projekten, die sich der freien Improvisation und der zeitgenössischen Musik widmen. Sie ist Teil des Ensembles Dust in the Groove, einem Projekt, das klassische und Jazzmusiker zusammenbringt. Mit dem Trio ConTRIOlogy führt sie neue Werke tschechischer Komponisten auf. Zudem tritt sie regelmäßig mit dem Ensemble Opera Diversa und dem Brno Contemporary Orchestra auf.

Zu ihren eigenen Projekten gehören die Komposition von Musik und Sounddesign für die Tanzperformance NOT A SWAN und das Album Interference, das sie gemeinsam mit der Sängerin Annabelle Plum aufgenommen hat. Dieses Album verbindet komponierte und improvisierte Teile und nutzt erweiterte Techniken für Akkordeon und Gesang. Im Jahr 2021 veröffentlichte sie außerdem das Lehrbuch Akordeon vypráví (Das Akkordeon erzählt), das Anfängern und Fortgeschrittenen die Welt der Improvisation näherbringt. Sie komponierte auch die Musik für die Tanzperformance Assamblagge in Zusammenarbeit mit der Tanzgruppe ME – SA.
