SUMMARY:Jošt Drašler & Cene Resnik & Eric Arn & Vid Drašler | Bneleti (Ben Wheeler)
DESCRIPTION:Improvising quartet: \nJošt Drašler – acoustic bass\nCene Resnik – tenor saxophone\nEric Arn – electric guitar\nVid Drašler – drums \nDieses Improvisations/Free Jazz–Quartett ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen den slowenischen Musikern\, Vid Drašler – Schlagzeug (DKD-Trio\, trójnik\, Orchester Senza Confini\, Orkestrada)\, Jošt Drašler – Akustikbass (DKD-Trio\, Orch Senza. Confini\, Jani Moder Trio\, Vito marence Gruppe ..)\, Cene Resnik – Tenor Saxophon (Cene Resnik Quartet\, trójnik\, Watch for dogs–Trio\, Orch. \n \n \nBneleti (ბნელეთი) is a solo project by Ben Wheeler\, an experimental musician\, composer\, and ethnomusicologist based in Tbilisi\, Georgia. Performing with an electric guitar\, saz\, and modular synthesizer\, Wheeler integrates his impressions of the music of Caucasus\, particularly Azerbaijani traditional music and Georgian polyphony\, with dark ambient\, drone\, and experimental composition\, and the aesthetic of Seattle hardcore and black metal\, creating a musical world that is beyond genre classifications. \nHis first full-length release under the moniker “Bneleti” is set to be released in February 2026 on Inverted Spectrum Records\, and will be followed by a three-week tour of Central and Eastern Europe \nBen Wheeler is the co-founder of Mountains of Tongues\, a project dedicated to preserving and promoting lesser known music from the Caucasus region. He has recorded songs in languages that have rarely been caught on tape\, instruments that only exist in extremely small numbers\, and performances from a variety of underrepresented ethnic\, religious\, and linguistic minority communities throughout the region. He is also the Senior Editor of EastEast\, a journal that covers culture and society in Eastern Europe\, Central Asia\, and the Caucasus\, and the founder of the Caucasus All Frequency festival. He is an instructor on synthesizers at Creative Education Studio in Tbilisi. Besides his Bneleti project\, Wheeler also published under his own name\, composed music for multiple independent films\, performed and written for a diverse selection of bands\, and worked as a music director and composer. \n

SUMMARY:Life Aquatic Quartett

SUMMARY:Federico Pozzer
DESCRIPTION:TRANSCRIPTIONS OF MY PIANO STUDENTS’ PLAYING \nIn this solo piano performance\, composer-performer Federico Pozzer plays transcriptions of recordings of his piano students attempting to interpret famous pieces. These recordings—captured during one-to-one piano lessons—are filled with irregular rhythms\, hesitations\, long silences\, “wrong” notes\, and unexpected dynamic choices.\nFederico transcribed them precisely and is going to perform them himself. The result is a tender\, strange\, and subtly disorienting collection of pieces that hover between recognition and distortion.\nWell-known melodies emerge but altered by the fragile gestures of children in the act of learning.\nThis project treats error as expression and listening as a form of\ncare. By inviting us to hear the beauty in musical imperfection\, both humorous and haunting\, the performance aims to challenge what we expect from music\, memory\, and the so-called “correct.”\nAudio Examples:\n\nWebsite: \nhome

SUMMARY:Ippio Payo
DESCRIPTION:Ist es doch Jazz? \nTeilweise in Rockmusik Verpacktes? \nJosip Pavlov – guitar\nMartin Lehmann – trumpet\nDaniel Tanner – drums \n \n \n \nhttps://ippiopayo.bandcamp.com \nhttps://www.instagram.com/ippio_payo

SUMMARY:Berke Can Özcan  & Jonah Parzen-Johnson | Phantanoise© Kollektiv feat. Ayşe Deniz Birdal
DESCRIPTION:The music meticulously builds on itself\, as two strangers from across the world weave percussive explosions\, field samples\, and forceful baritone saxophone melodies into something instantly solid & joyful. In an era of apathy and cynicism\, this music is a reminder that the antidote to polarization is curiosity. Recent press:\n• “An arresting tangle of minimalist electronic drones\, rumbling drums and modal jazz sax freakouts.” – The Guardian\n• “Their shared rapport has led to a frequently tuneful unspooling.” Up Magazine \nhttps://bit.ly/bandcamp-wjlp77\nhttps://bit.ly/spotify-wjlp77\n \nThe Shape of Uncertainty – Phantanoise© Kollektiv feat. Ayşe Deniz Birdal\nNo script\, no safety net — only the fragile geometry of sound unfolding in the moment.\nThe Phantanoise© collective creates sonic spaces between structure and dissolution\, between resonance and resistance. Electronics\, B-flat clarinet\, soprano saxophone\, trumpet\, bass\, percussion\, and cello intertwine to form a vibrant fabric of tension and silence.\nFree improvisation as a collective process – immediate\, risky\, open to whatever emerges. \nGero von Randow – electronics\nPalatinszky Márton – bass clarinet\, soprano saxophone\, percussion\nHelmut Steininger – trumpet\nMilan Konrad – bass\nPhantanoise© artist – electronics\nGuest: Ayşe Deniz Birdal – cello \n“Die Form der Ungewissheit”

SUMMARY:SJi Youn Kang & Clara de Asís | Luc Döbereiner & Leonie Strecker | Vanessa Scarpaccini & Ayşe Deniz Birdal
DESCRIPTION:This evening consists of three sets: \nJi Youn Kang\nA performance as a live construction of an unstable sonic machine\, circuits\, metal plates\, and electromagnetic feedback form a system where sound emerges from shifting relations between material\, performer\, and signal. Through acts of tinkering\, the piece reveals the hidden vitality of matter and its dynamic behaviors. \nJi Youn Kang is a composer and performer of electronic and instrumental music. Her work often draws from Korean shamanistic traditions while exploring spatial sound and handmade electronics. She teaches at the Institute of Sonology in The Hague and performs internationally. \n– Clara de Asís & Luc Döbereiner\nThe duo unfolds reduced sound textures with synthetic (analog and digital) sources\, moving between isolated harmonic states and noise. The music emphasizes spatiality\, the materiality of listening and sound reproduction\, and the interplay between reduction and multiplicity of sound sources. \nClara de Asís is an artist and composer working with electronics\, objects\, and instruments to investigate listening\, perception\, and social-material contexts. She creates works of different formats encompassing performance\, audio pieces and installations. \nLuc Döbereiner is a composer\, musician and researcher exploring the fragility and materiality of sound\, often using generative processes and synthesis. \n– Leonie Strecker\nIn her solo performance\, Strecker explores presence\, absence\, and memory through concrete and synthetic sound\, evoking ambiguous meanings and creating spaces for individual and collective listening. \nLeonie Strecker is a composer and sound artist based in Vienna. Her work includes electronic and electro-acoustic music\, compositions for soloists and ensembles\, as well as performances and installations. She explores ideas around the hybridity of form\, presence and absence\, the connection of memory and experience\, and the meaning of concrete and synthetic sound. \nAyşe Deniz Birdal (Istanbul\, 1996) started studying at the Istanbul University State Conservatory at age 10. She continued her studies with Julius Berger in Augsburg. She won first place in the Rudolf Matz Strings Competition and second place in the International Johan Andreas Stein Strings Competition\, where she played\, among others\, her own composition Sky-Cut.\nBirdal played multiple festivals\, including the Menuhin Festival Gstaad String Academy and the Kronbeg Academy Cello Festival\, and played as a soloist with the Kaunas Philharmonic Orchestra\, among others.\nShe has a strong interest for contemporary classical music and music from her home country. She is also an enthusiastic improviser.\nWith her artistic identity\, she is building a bridge between genres and cultures\, to express her identity as a human being and a woman who migrated from Turkey through Europe to pursue an artistic career\, and to narrate her experience through life and cultures. \nVanessa Mattei Scarpaccini (2004) is an Italian-Polish dance artist currently based in Florence. She collaborates with Sosta Palmizi and develops her own choreographic work. Her practice moves through improvisation\, composition and interdisciplinary dialogue — working with musicians and visual artists across Europe. \nShe has performed in works by choreographers such as Virgilio Sieni\, Natalia Di Cosmo\, and Paulina Rewucka\, and is part of the improvisation collective FREE FORMS OF ART. \nVanessa trained between Florence and Vienna\, with formative experiences also in Germany\, Belgium\, and Spain. Alongside her artistic practice\, she is currently studying philosophy.

SUMMARY:Kvadrata Supro | Alexander Babikov & Valentin Duit
DESCRIPTION:Trio Kvadrata Supro was formed in 2021 as an improvisational group based on double wind instruments – mainly saxophones and clarinets – and a rhythmic system made up of drums and vibraphone. The fabric of their music unfolds in the polarity between trance-eruptive free jazz with various folkloric atavisms and free improvisation with elements of minimalism and ambient. For the autumn tour in 2025 the group invited Hungarian double bassist and composer Ernö Hock to collaborate\, who straddles jazz\, folklore\, experimental rock and free improvisation. \nErnö Hock (H) – bass \nElia Moretti (I) – drums\, vibraphone\nhttps://database.shareimpro.eu/en/person/elia-moretti \nMichal Hrubý (CZ) – tenor saxophone\, clarinets\, flutes\nmichalhruby.bandcamp.com \nZdeněk Závodný (CZ) – saxophones\, clarinet\nhttps://frisk.band \n____ \nValentin Duit & Alexander Babikov

SUMMARY:Blumer & Dell & Geisser & Morgenthaler | Guilio Stermieri
\nGiulio Stermieri – Farfisa organ\, toy piano\, sampler \nGiulio Stermieri is a pianist\, keyboard player\, and composer. His musical path merges his love for the African American piano tradition and improvisation with a focus on timbral exploration of piano and electronics. His work honors the present moment as the privileged dimension for an artist-listener communication. He also explores the way musical material affects form\, following the instant composing utopia. Fort Da\, Stermieri’s solo performance\, is rooted in these beliefs; the Farfisa organ and the sampler become a living machine\, together suggesting new creative trajectories. Fragmented melodies appear and disappear\, rising from the contemplation of simple sonic stratifications or sinking into polyrhythmic trance\, revealing a game in which we can experience the symbolic value of repetition.

SUMMARY:Hanousek\, Årdestrup\, Jorgen | Adriano Cava
DESCRIPTION:Adriano CavaPlaying with phonography to shape NoFi environments. Adriano Cava play “mikrokosmos” in a low-volume listening ground aired by a self-assembled\, cheap multi-speakers system.\n\n\nThis trio was put together in early 2024 by bassist Jonathan Aardestrup who had found a great connection with both the other players.Since Peter Ole and Jonathan already had joined forces as a duo and facilitated meetings with international guests in Denmark and internationally\, in February they invited the Czech saxophonist Radim Hanousek and that was a magical music meeting. The 3 had an instant connection and played 4 concerts for much pleased audiences around Denmark. In October the trio had a small tour in Czech and Austria with similar reactions. These days we are finishing a live album of the recordings in Denmark\, are planning to record a studio album this spring and are organizing another tour to central Europe in October 2025.\nRadim Hanousek – sopranosax & bassclarinet\nJonathan Aardestrup – bass\nP.O.Jorgens – drums\n(vekks – fb)

SUMMARY:Simon Rose & Didi Kern | Gabriel Zucker & Attila Gyárfás
DESCRIPTION:Simon Rose is a freelance musician and independent researcher\, author from London\, based in Berlin. He performs on baritone and alto saxophones in numerous collaborations and as soloist. He also collaborates beyond music with dancers\, visual artists\, mixed media\, built instruments\, site specific performance and more. His research interest is in creative processes.\nDidi Kern: drums (Schlagzeug)\nAmerican multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Zucker (piano\, synth\, voice) and Hungarian drummer Attila Gyárfás have been making music since they met in 2017 in New York. Living in separate continents\, Zucker and Gyárfás have developed the unique synergy of their wide-ranging and ambitious duo project playing in short spans of a week or two at a time on the road in diverse venues — from candle-lit jazz clubs in Edinburgh and Istanbul to an electronic music venue built out of repurposed car speakers in Timişoara; from an art gallery in London to a sculpture park outside of Cluj-Napoca. Performing sometimes with a grand piano and a high-fi sound system\, but sometimes with a skeletal drum kit\, a synthesizer\, and a single speaker\, the duo is at home within a remarkable range of sounds: passages of complex contrapuntal chamber music are followed by noisy improvised soundscapes punctuated by Gyárfás’s gong synthesizer\, and followed again by Zucker’s plaintive lullabies. SUMMARY:DuChamp | Eric Arn | Veronika Mayer | Mlondiwethu Dubazane
DESCRIPTION:DuChampis an Italian scientist\, musician and curator based in Berlin\, religiously devoted to drone.Drone is related to a precise childhood memory: the sound of the hair dryer\, that her mother used to fix her hair. That was the sound of care\, bliss\, and infinite love. She made her debut as solo on Aug 22 2010\, and performed several time across Europe and in the US West Coast.Since 2017\, DuChamp started to incorporate real field recordings\, related to her personal memory\, into her drone compositions\, by adding layers of sounds and noise in attempt to recreate some kind of apophonias. Her debut album “NAR” has been released in 2013 through the italian cult label Boring Machines. In 2015 the split “Sculpture” with French sound artist Felicia Atkinson was released through Idiosyncratics. In 2016 and 2017 Full Body Massage records released that tapes “Nectere” and the following year “A Blazing World”. Her new album “The Wild Joy” will be released in 2025 by Torto Edition\, Ramble Records and Atena Records.———-\nVeronika Mayer composes contemporary experimental music in the context of free improvisation as electronic musician with the laptop. She is dedicated to the effects of minimal sound changes and demands openness for subtle details. Veronika is on the curatorial team of the Klangmanifeste festival and a member of snim – spontaneous network for improvised music. She studied piano\, instrumental and electroacoustic composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts\, Vienna.&Eric Arn ist ein in Wien lebender Gitarrist dessen Stile zu weit gefächert sind\, um hier eine genaue Beschreibung dessen abzugeben\, was genau an diesem Abend zu hören sein wird. Basis ist in diesem Zusammenhang jedenfalls Improvisation. ————–\nMlondiwethu Dubazaneis a South African creative sound-maker\, spontaneous spirit-music practitioner\, sonic-dramatist and improviser. His sonic vision cultivates a sensitivity to the unveiling of the heart\, in sound and in practice. Each day\, he listens to the space behind the eyes\, behind the gut\, behind the pelvis\, behind the heart. His music is an offering to the space of inspiration that thrums within us all.For his offering\, Mlondiwethu will be sourcing inspiration from the movements of Word\, Rhythm and Spirit; to create a performative and sonic encounter titled in the voices of many. Attentively listening to the enthusiasm and refuge that each vibration\, note\, and sound carries and offers\, in the voices of many\, is an improvisation toward an amplification of the subtle\, unseen\, and often-unspoken energies that thrum within us.

SUMMARY:David Palliser\, Anthony Kroytor Kallie Lampel
DESCRIPTION:David Palliseris a multi disciplinary artist working across improvised music\, painting and drawing. He performs regularly in his home city of Melbourne and often in Europe\, mainly Berlin. He was a significant member of the post punk band The People With Chairs Up Their Noses \, later with The Donkey’s Tail\, and continues to perform with The Charles Ives Singers\, SKP\, and numerous collaborations with other musicians. He plays alto saxophone and clarinet and performs solo using them with electronics and objects… His performances are noted for their on the brink of collapse concentration on sound production\, often with a particular and intense use of fragments of loops that chase the flow of playing just as he chases them…areas of repose open out and are swallowed by the ongoing keenly pitched mangling. The Music section of his website gives some idea of his practicehttps://www.davidpalliser.com\n\nAnthony KroytorCreated with a combination of digital and traditional techniques\, Anthony Kroytor’s audiovisual work is a reflection on modernity using the language of remix and juxtaposition. His training in philosophy frames and structures his work\, and its sonic and rhythmic elements are grounded in experimental synthesized music. He is particularly interested in the intersection and overlap of the human with the nonhuman\, the impersonal.\n\nKallie LampelKallie Lampel is an experimental/ambient artist based in Berlin. Lampel’s music focuses on creating evolving sonic environments that both express and conjure mental imagery. Through the use of loops both in and out of sync\, his music blurs the lines between melody\, rhythm\, and texture. In this way he seeks to convey and induce the multitudinous experience of memory\, thought\, emotion\, and sensation.
