DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be able to establish silent green Open Lab\, a new format for young Berlin musicians taking their first steps on stage – beyond the pressure of expectations or market-oriented presentation. \nSupporting young talent and revealing artistic processes is a major concern for us at silent green – and this is precisely what Open Lab is all about. It is deliberately conceived not as a mere showcase\, but as a space of opportunity: for entering the public sphere\, for encounters\, for resonance\, and for further development. \nBoth solo acts and ensembles/bands from Berlin were eligible to apply. Their approaches demonstrate not only individual artistic expression but also a desire to explore and transcend genre boundaries – between electronic music\, improvisational practice\, pop\, spoken word\, or performance. \nmegouem\nmegouem sings\, reads\, writes\, and performs. The poems\, pieces\, and songs\, set to music in melodies and chants\, are impulses\, observations\, and reflections given form. Occasionally\, illuminating insights also flow into the musical representations. Inspired by her grandmother’s spiritual legacy\, the preservation\, transmission\, and communication of knowledge are the focus of megouem’s artistic practice. At the silent green Open Lab\, megouem presents various fragments that lie somewhere between vocal performance and musical theater\, merging them into a harmonious concert piece. \nDara Shikoh\nDara Shikoh is a Berlin-based Sindhi interdisciplinary artist whose music exists on the threshold between language and emotion. For him\, sound is a vessel for feelings that have not yet been put into words—raw\, intuitive\, and sacred. His creative journey is an attempt to dwell in this very space and make it audible. \nBy fusing field recordings from places he calls home with electroacoustic sound textures and intimate vocal passages\, Dara Shikoh creates immersive sound worlds that reflect memory\, migration\, and inner states. \nKkoki\nKkoki is a Korean musician currently active in Berlin. Her songs are influenced by her long-standing engagement with pop and pop culture\, particularly through influences from films and television shows. \nShe spends most of her time writing and recording songs\, collaborating with artists such as Emil Gabriel\, COBEE\, Kev Koko\, Mathis Ruffing\, Valentin Hansen\, and others. Her debut single was released in August 2025\, and further releases are planned.

She is a member of Ensemble]h[iatus and has performed at ZKM\, WDR3\, and Horizons Sancy\, among others. \nAngelika Sheridan defines the sound of the flute beyond classical conventions through contemporary and original playing techniques. Adriano Cava play “mikrokosmos” in a low-volume listening ground aired by a self-assembled\, cheap multi-speakers system.\n\n\nThis trio was put together in early 2024 by bassist Jonathan Aardestrup who had found a great connection with both the other players.Since Peter Ole and Jonathan already had joined forces as a duo and facilitated meetings with international guests in Denmark and internationally\, in February they invited the Czech saxophonist Radim Hanousek and that was a magical music meeting. The 3 had an instant connection and played 4 concerts for much pleased audiences around Denmark. He performs on baritone and alto saxophones in numerous collaborations and as soloist. His research interest is in creative processes.\nDidi Kern: drums (Schlagzeug)\nAmerican multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Zucker (piano\, synth\, voice) and Hungarian drummer Attila Gyárfás have been making music since they met in 2017 in New York. Living in separate continents\, Zucker and Gyárfás have developed the unique synergy of their wide-ranging and ambitious duo project playing in short spans of a week or two at a time on the road in diverse venues — from candle-lit jazz clubs in Edinburgh and Istanbul to an electronic music venue built out of repurposed car speakers in Timişoara; from an art gallery in London to a sculpture park outside of Cluj-Napoca. Performing sometimes with a grand piano and a high-fi sound system\, but sometimes with a skeletal drum kit\, a synthesizer\, and a single speaker\, the duo is at home within a remarkable range of sounds: passages of complex contrapuntal chamber music are followed by noisy improvised soundscapes punctuated by Gyárfás’s gong synthesizer\, and followed again by Zucker’s plaintive lullabies. DESCRIPTION:DuChampis an Italian scientist\, musician and curator based in Berlin\, religiously devoted to drone.Drone is related to a precise childhood memory: the sound of the hair dryer\, that her mother used to fix her hair. That was the sound of care\, bliss\, and infinite love.She made her debut as solo on Aug 22 2010\, and performed several time across Europe and in the US West Coast.Since 2017\, DuChamp started to incorporate real field recordings\, related to her personal memory\, into her drone compositions\, by adding layers of sounds and noise in attempt to recreate some kind of apophonias.Her debut album “NAR” has been released in 2013 through the italian cult label Boring Machines. In 2015 the split “Sculpture” with French sound artist Felicia Atkinson was released through Idiosyncratics. In 2016 and 2017 Full Body Massage records released that tapes “Nectere” and the following year “A Blazing World”. Her new album “The Wild Joy” will be released in 2025 by Torto Edition\, Ramble Records and Atena Records.———-\nVeronika Mayer composes contemporary experimental music in the context of free improvisation as electronic musician with the laptop. She is dedicated to the effects of minimal sound changes and demands openness for subtle details. Veronika is on the curatorial team of the Klangmanifeste festival and a member of snim – spontaneous network for improvised music. She studied piano\, instrumental and electroacoustic composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts\, Vienna.&Eric Arn ist ein in Wien lebender Gitarrist dessen Stile zu weit gefächert sind\, um hier eine genaue Beschreibung dessen abzugeben\, was genau an diesem Abend zu hören sein wird. Basis ist in diesem Zusammenhang jedenfalls Improvisation. ————–\nMlondiwethu Dubazaneis a South African creative sound-maker\, spontaneous spirit-music practitioner\, sonic-dramatist and improviser. His sonic vision cultivates a sensitivity to the unveiling of the heart\, in sound and in practice. Each day\, he listens to the space behind the eyes\, behind the gut\, behind the pelvis\, behind the heart. His music is an offering to the space of inspiration that thrums within us all.For his offering\, Mlondiwethu will be sourcing inspiration from the movements of Word\, Rhythm and Spirit; to create a performative and sonic encounter titled in the voices of many. Attentively listening to the enthusiasm and refuge that each vibration\, note\, and sound carries and offers\, in the voices of many\, is an improvisation toward an amplification of the subtle\, unseen\, and often-unspoken energies that thrum within us.

DESCRIPTION:Simon Rose: baritone and alto saxophones\, Didi Kern: drums\nSimon Rose is a freelance musician and independent researcher\, author from London\, based in Berlin. He performs on baritone and alto saxophones in numerous collaborations and as a soloist. He also collaborates beyond music with dancers\, visual artists\, mixed media\, built instruments\, site-specific performance\, and more. His research interest is in creative processes. \nDidi Kern is not only known as the precise and versatile drummer of the Austrian bands Bulbul and Fuckhead\, but has also made a name for himself in the improvisation and free jazz scene\, collaborating with greats such as Marshall Allen\, Linda Sharrock\, Ken Vandermark\, and others. He is now considered one of the busiest drummers on the Viennese scene. Didi has established himself as an inventive\, energetic improviser with a keen sense of humor.
