DESCRIPTION:La Cuerda y el Grito \nLa Cuerda y el Grito\, translated as “The String and the Scream”\, is a multidisciplinary performance that blends contemporary music\, free improvisation\, body\, and object. Yuko Cornale and Sofía Escamilla work from a place of depth and in the quest for the intangible – each from a different language: one using the voice as a portal\, the other through cello as an extension of the body. This duo is born from attentive listening and the willingness to inhabit the moment. While Yuko’s voice folds\, distorts\, and channels the intangible\, Sofía’s cello expands through digital processing and sound objects. \nA seismic encounter between two explorers of the deep who come together in a dialogue of sounds and emotions. Voice and cello merge and warp creating an intimate ritual where air becomes string\, and string becomes scream. Both artists were selected for the Ibermúsicas – Emilia Romagna call\, with tours in Mexico and Italy alongside the trio HackOut!. In 2025-2026 they develop The String and the Scream. \n\n \nYuko Cornale \nPerformer\, improviser\, composer\, and producer born in Bolivia and of Italian nationality. Based in Mexico City for over ten years\, her work focuses on vocal exploration and the use of extended techniques. Active in the experimental scene\, she performs in free improvisation concerts and collaborates with contemporary music ensembles. She teaches private voice lessons and leads the Vox Anima workshop\, which encourages vocal exploration and somatic knowledge of the voice. \nShe currently leads two main projects: Craniata\, an immersive performance combining digital art\, visual arts\, electronic music\, body\, and voice; and Ensamble Voraz\, a group dedicated to free improvisation with influences of black metal\, doom\, and noise rock. Her practice is driven by the exploration of the depths\, channeling the intangible. \nSofía Escamilla \nCellist\, composer\, and sound artist Mexican who moves between contemporary academic music\, free improvisation\, performance\, and electroacoustic music. Her approach to the instrument begins with the exploration of extended techniques with real-time digital processing\, layering voice and other sound objects. Her work also spans multidisciplinary collaborations in poetry\, dance\, theater\, and film. Notable collaborations include the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra 2023 as a composer selected for the Orchestral Techniques Workshop\, and with the UNAM Choreographic Workshop 2025 as a live cellist. She is currently a member and founder of the free jazz trio Segaki\, a member of Kóryma orchestra led by jazz pianist Ana Ruíz\, and cellist in trumpeter and jazz artist Jacob Wick’s ensemble\, with whom they recorded an album in 2025. \nErikM \nDisappearing Words takes as its starting point the list of terms banned by the Trump administration — science-based\, transgender\, diversity\, climate change… Entrusted to an AI-generated artificial voice\, these words appear as a fragile memory\, already under threat of erasure. Integrated into the Idiosyncrasie device\, built from real-time sound streams and reconfigured raw materials\, they enter a process of continuous transformation. Little by little\, the voice blurs\, dissolves\, merges with the streams\, and drifts toward entropy: a state where meaning fades\, where sonic matter decomposes into an unstable and unpredictable field. Between memory and disappearance\, Disappearing Words sets political language and its\nmanipulation against the fragility of any sonic trace\, questioning the ways in which words can be erased\, diverted\, or rendered inaudible. \neRIkm (Aka Erik M) is a French musician\, composer and visual artist. Since his first experience in the plastic and visual arts\, ErikM takes the risk to escape any attempt of hasty categorization. Very quickly considered as a virtuoso of electronic devices and sound arts (1994)\, he crosses the worlds-systems called „independent“\, „institutional“ and territories (France – International). He develops an openly prospective approach of the technological medium. Musik zum Hinsetzen und Hinlegen\, ebenso wie zum genauen\, aktiven Hinhören. \nDie Listening Session findet innerhalb von Tolia Astakhishvilis Ausstellung Figure of the Child statt\, in den von der Künstlerin für den Raum geschaffenen Hosting-Strukturen. Künstler*innen\, deren Arbeit Astakhishvilis Welt auf eigene Weise weiterdenkt\, laden an diesem Abend zu einem nahen\, konzentrierten Zuhören ein. \nProgramm \nFirst Utter ist ein hybrides Set / eine Performance von Keta Gavasheli aus Kassettenaufnahmen\, Stimme\, Bewegung und akustischer Gitarre\, das Mutterschaft\, Distanz\, Dialog und den instabilen Raum zwischen Erinnerung und Stimme erkundet. Es entsteht aus einem fortlaufenden Austausch mit der Mutter der Künstlerin\, die in Georgien lebt – einer Leseübung über die Distanz hinweg\, bei der beide am Telefon Texte über Mutterschaft lesen und übersetzen. Fragmente von Mina Loys Parturition\, Bernadette Mayers Midwinter Day und Clarice Lispectors Água Viva treten neben Feldaufnahmen\, Alltagsgeräuschen und akustischer Gitarre in diesen Klangraum. \nDer in Paris ansässige Künstler Blessed and blushing arbeitet multidisziplinär. Er samplet ausschließlich Audiomaterial\, das mit KI-Programmen generiert wurde\, und gilt als Pionier dieser Praxis. Seine Musik bewegt sich zwischen loop-basiertem Hip-Hop\, nostalgischem Pop und Dance-Elementen\, mit Vocals\, die im Uncanny Valley changieren. Seine Arbeit erzeugt ein Gefühl falscher Nostalgie: Klänge\, die an vertraute Songs erinnern\, jedoch stets von einer KI-bedingten Dissonanz durchzogen sind. \nDan Bodan ist ein musikalisches Projekt aus Berlin\, bekannt für seine Pop-Veröffentlichungen auf DFA Records. Neben seiner Solomusik bewegt er sich immer wieder auch in der zeitgenössischen Kunstwelt – als Komponist für Kammermusik und Film sowie in Zusammenarbeit mit bildenden Künstler*innen an multimedialen Projekten in ganz Europa. Entstanden ist sie 2012 aus einer Klangkunstausstellung des deutschen Musikrates. Kuratiert und organisiert vom Kulturverein On the Couch – zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur in der Gesellschaft. Bisher fanden über 100 Konzerte statt. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf aktueller Neuer Musik.\nDie Idee entstand aus dem Bedürfnis heraus\, professionelles Musikschaffen in die Intimität eines Salons zu bringen. Dadurch bietet sich die Möglichkeit\, MusikerInnen und Publikum nah zusammenzuführen\, sich über das Gehörte und Erlebte auszutauschen. Es geht um eine persönliche Gegenseitigkeit\, die im herkömmlichen Konzertbetrieb nicht vorkommt.

Drawing on decades of combined experience across Latin America\, Europe\, and the United States\, the duo creates a live performance rooted in spontaneous interaction\, extended techniques\, and a shared sensitivity to texture\, breath\, and silence. Their music moves between fragile\, translucent sound surfaces and moments of dense intensity\, exploring the acoustic possibilities of their wind instruments in dialogue. Rather than following a fixed score\, the performance unfolds in real time\, allowing the space and the moment to shape the result. This echoraum performance is the official presentation of the duo’s new release „Translúcidas Criaturas Pulsantes“ (Relative Pitch Record)\, offering an opportunity to experience this collaboration live. \nMaría Valencia\nColombian saxophonist\, clarinetist\, improviser\, and composer\, born in Bogotá. She holds a degree in Music from Javeriana University and a Master’s in Fine Arts and Electronic Arts from the University of Los Andes (Bogotá). She has performed across Colombia\, Europe\, Latin America\, and the United States\, and her work has been released on labels including Relative Pitch Records (US)\, Sonic Transmissions (NO)\, Música Corriente (CO)\, and Dur et Doux (FR). She is a member of Meridian Brothers\, one of Colombia’s most acclaimed and internationally renowned bands\, and alongside her solo projects she also plays in Hurakán Orkan\, Tarabita Espiral\, MULA\, Trío Lesión\, and Tortuga Alada. She is also a professor at Universidad del Rosario\, Bogotá. \nLeonel Kaplan\nA must-hear\, one-of-a-kind trumpeter. Born in Buenos Aires (1973) and now based in Belgrade\, Leonel Kaplan has been a singular voice in the international free improvisation scene since the early 2000s\, focused on extended techniques and the purest matters of sound. He is widely regarded as one of the most internationally projected Argentine improvisers\, and has toured and recorded worldwide alongside John Butcher\, Christof Kurzmann\, Axel Dörner\, Michel Doneda\, Klaus Filip\, Birgit Ulher\, Tetuzi Akiyama\, and Nate Wooley\, among many others. Beyond performing\, he has composed for dance\, theatre\, and light installations. His music has been released on labels such as Relative Pitch (US)\, ESP-Disk‘ (US)\, Another Timbre (UK)\, Dromos\, and Creative Sources. Critics have praised him as a dexterous and measured player\, as comfortable with silence as with sound\, whose mesmerizing approach pushes the trumpet far beyond its jazz traditions and places him at the forefront of the instrument’s contemporary language. \nHÜBSCH ABER VERSTRAHLT \nSilke Strahl und Carl Ludwig Hübsch begeben sich mit Saxophon\, Tuba und Stimme in die Wildnis der unerhörten\nTöne. Vor den Augen des Publikums entsteht Zartes\, Raues\, Filigranes und Brutales im Brennpunkt der Echtzeit.\nVertiefung\, Überraschung und einfach gute Musik schöpfen aus einem unbegrenzbarem Klangspektrum.\nStrahl und Hübsch verfeinern täglich ihr Werkzeug und ihre Klang-Paletten. Daher ist ihr Spiel ist ebenso persönlich wie\ngrundlegend offen für all das\, was da kommt und geht. \nGeboren 1988 in Bad Saulgau\, genoss Silke Strahl im Alter von 9 Jahren ihren ersten Musikunterricht. Das Studium der elementaren Musikpädagogik an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Stuttgart begann sie 2008. Ab 2010 studierte sie zusätzlich klassisches Saxophon bei Nikola Lutz. Ein Erasmus Aufenthalt führte sie nach Luzern\, wo sie den Instrumental-Bachelor und das Masterstudium “Interpretation of contemporary music“ bei Sascha Armbruster und Beat Hofstetter abschloss. Silke ist in verschiedenen Ensembles tätig mit denen sie u.a. zeitgenössische Werke uraufführt oder interdisziplinäre Projekte verwirklicht. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ihrer Arbeit ist die freie Improvisation. Hier steht sie unter\nanderem mit Hans-Peter Pfammatter\, Christian Weber\, Kevin Sommer\, Raphael Loher\, Tizia Zimmermann oder Lucas Niggli auf der Bühne. Ausserdem ist sie als Aushilfe und Zuzügerin in verschiedenen Orchestern und Ensembles\, wie dem Sinfonieorchester Basel\, zu hören. Sie gewann 2019 mit ihrem Duo Klexs den zweiten Preis des renommierten\nWettbewerb Concours Nicati und 2016 den Edwin-Fischer- Anerkennungspreis\, sowie den Soundzz.z.zzz…z- Wettbewerb des Lucerne Festivals. Ausserdem engagiert sie sich aktiv für die Luzerner Kulturszene\, im Forum Neue Musik Luzern und dem Mullbau Luzern. \nCarl Ludwig Hübsch komponiert für kleine und grosse Besetzungen intuitiver oder Neuer Musik und ist als Tubist ein im In- und Ausland gefragter Improvisierer oder Interpret. Er studierte Komposition meist autodidaktisch\, jedoch auch z.B. als Gaststudent in der Kompositionsklasse von Johannes Fritsch in Köln. Hübsch komponiert für verschiedene Ensembles wie z.B. das Multiple Joy[ce] Orchestra in Köln\, seine eigenen Gruppen oder für Kompositionsaufträge. Sein kompositorisches Schaffen stellt den Interpreten als kreative Instanz im Umgang mit vorab komponierter Musik in den Mittelpunkt. Seit 1989 tritt Carl Ludwig Hübsch regelmäßig mit herausragenden bekannten und unbekannten Meistern seines Metiers zusammen auf. Hübsch hat drei Bücher mit Interviews mit Improvisierenden Musiker*innen veröffentlicht und veranstaltet die „Plattform Nicht Dokumentierbarer Ereignisse“ in Köln.

The history of ideas\, experiences\, and materials are an influence on his work and often lead to a research-heavy path resulting in suites of work around a theme. Recent topics have included the history of barbed wire\, the night as a space of freedom and libidinal desire\, feedback as it occurs in sound and video art\, politics\, economics\, and biology\, pathological and non-pathological auditory hallucination and most recently\, the sound of Hell. Or hells. The sonic is the starting point for his projects which are evocations of communication networks and systems\, or expressions of spatial and temporal experience. He frequently works with material in situ and in relation to their sites while at the same time recognizing the many complexities involved in working this way. He releases music both solo and collaboratively\, often through his own small scale publishing and curatorial project\, The Dim Coast\, which he runs with artist\, jake moore. His work has been performed and exhibited in Canada\, the USA\, Europe\, Chile and Senegal. He works in the field\, on the air\, in museological/gallery and performance contexts. These shifting territories reflect the content of his practice. \nknuRRhahn \nThis instrumental duo is dedicated to conversations between instrumental and electronic sound waves. It is a meeting of two musicians developing an improvised dialogue which melts sonic textures and musical gestures into manifestations of movement and stillness. Their aim is to lead the audience towards a practice of active listening within various figurations between silence and noise. The sublime timbres of the Paetzold-Recorder and other reed instruments meet pulsating oscillators\, abstract sound layers and noise elements from analog and digital electronic instruments. Roman Haubenstock-Ramati konzipierte das Werk Cathédrale II als Raummusik\, was quasi als Klanginstallation zu begreifen ist.\nAus diesem ersten Teil wird in Folge in einem Zusammenspiel von Harfe und Live-Elektronik der zweite Teil false cathedrale entwickelt\, was den eigentlichen Spannungsbogen der Performance darstellt. Die Elektronik bedient sich an den Bausteinen des Ursprungswerks Cathédrale I. Bisher fanden über 100 Konzerte statt. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf aktueller Neuer Musik.\nDie Idee entstand aus dem Bedürfnis heraus\, professionelles Musikschaffen in die Intimität eines Salons zu bringen. Dadurch bietet sich die Möglichkeit\, MusikerInnen und Publikum nah zusammenzuführen\, sich über das Gehörte und Erlebte auszutauschen. Es geht um eine persönliche Gegenseitigkeit\, die im herkömmlichen Konzertbetrieb nicht vorkommt.

DESCRIPTION:Wenn der Wiener Schriftsteller Stefan Micke mit dem Österreichischen Jazzpreis-Träger Kenji Herbert zum literarisch-musikalischen Duett lädt\, bringt man am besten zwei Dinge mit: ein Bündel eigener Emotionen und ein Säckchen heller Kieselsteine.\nErsteres\, da\, wenn Künstler mit dem Feuer spielen\, leicht Entflammbares ausdrücklich erwünscht ist. Letzteres\, damit man am Ende des Abends auch wieder den Weg nach Hause findet – wenn man es denn möchte.\nMicke und Herbert stehen für Interpretationen ihrer Genres\, die sich nur schwer einordnen lassen\, aber vielleicht gerade deshalb umso zugänglicher sind. Dass sie sich einer solchen Einordnung entziehen\, kann man so nicht sagen. DESCRIPTION:Fernando Perales (aka Mi Cosa de Resistance) was born in Buenos Aires\, Argentina in 1971. \nFrom the mid to late nineties\, he was part of the iconic Argentinian band Reynols. After a number of years away from music\, around 2007 he formed UL\, a noise guitar trio with Anla Courtis and Charly Zaragoza.\nIn 2009\, he began his solo career under the moniker of Viva La Muerte\, a prepared guitar based post-industrial project\, beside some other projects and collaborations alongside Argentinian\, Brazilian and European musicians.\nSince 2016\, he has been working as Mi Cosa de Resistance (My piece “De Resistance”)\, a lofi post-ambient project based on sampling\, releasing more than 30 album via Bandcamp since 2017\, on labels like Whitelabrecs (UK)\, Minimal Resource Manipulation (UK)\, Audiobulb (UK)\, Driftworks (UK)\, Elm Records (UK)\, Spirit of Gravity (UK)\, Giraffe Tapes (Georgia) and his own imprint\, Hissful Tapes (Argentina)\nDuring the last 15 years he has toured around Latin America & Europe 5 times\, playing more than 100 concerts (something unusual for a Latin American musician). \nAstro Black (Ö)\nDas formidable Duo ASTRO BLACK besteht aus dem Grazer Musiker\, Labelbetreiber und mittlerweile Neo-Wiener Richie Herbst sowie dem Wiener Saxophonisten Michael Masen. In bald zwei Jahrzehnten haben sich die Wege der beiden Musiker immer wieder vor Konzertbühnen\, in Kulturräumen und Impro-Sessions im In- und Ausland gekreuzt und dann für einige Jahre im Trio FS MASSAKER und auf diversen Tonträgern eindrucksvoll ergänzt. Herbst mit noisig-dronigen Klanglandschaften mit modularen Synthesizern und Effekten\, Masen am Alt- und Tenorsaxophon\, in der Tradition von Grenzgängern wie Peter Brötzmann\, Paul Flaherty und Kaoru Abe. In der Band ASTRO BLACK verbinden Herbst und Masen nun alte Leidenschaften mit neuen Wegen. Sie vereinen dunkle Atmosphären mit Elementen aus Noise\, Free Jazz und Elektronik. Die Werke des Duos reflektieren politische Überzeugungen sowie die Sehnsucht nach utopischen Welten\, inspiriert von Science-Fiction-Themen. Bei ihren Auftritten verstärken sie die immersive Klangästhetik ihrer Musik zusätzlich mit visuellen Effekten\, die das Publikum in eine faszinierende audiovisuelle Erfahrung eintauchen lassen. \nRICHIE HERBST spielt neben seinen Solo-Arbeiten als Mitglied verschiedener Bands wie MRM Trio\, Regolith\, RHY und MULM sowie als Gründer des Bordone Ensembles.
