DESCRIPTION:Falling with YouContact Improvisation workshop with Urs Stauffer\n—Workshop description—\nGravity – what ever it might be – was one of the all-time favorite subjects of Steve Paxton and probably one of the main issues we deal with in Contact Improvisation. The experience of it seems to come to our cellular awareness in some way as soon as we become mater. I would love to explore with you during this workshop the pleasure and joy of falling together with another person. Finding the excitement of falling\, of giving into it safely. I’m very much interested in finding ways to keep the dance going\, even in the moments when the best solution seems to fall into the arms of Mother Earth…\nAs always in my work\, my own experiences with Steve will be part of what I can share with you just as much as some principles from Body-Mind Centering® that I will introduce.\n—About Urs—\nI met Steve Paxton for the first time in 1989 and was deeply impressed by his dance. The year after\, 1990\, I had for the first time the chance to work with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and knew right away that Body-Mind Centering® would be a life time project for me. Ever since I kept working with both of these persons that are of great influence in my movement research.
