Born in Finland\, they live in Basel and in Geneva since 2003\, where they are active in the improvised music scene. They are interested in collective processes and in the question of responsibility towards environment and audience.\nBorn in France\, Anouck Genthon is a violinist based in Geneva (CH). She anchors her work in the development of her own language through the experience of sound and listening. She likes to engage in transversal forms of research and she plays in various contexts at the crossroads of improvised\, experimental\, contemporary\, electroacoustic and traditional music through projects ranging from solo to large ensemble. Her work is published by Carton\, Ligne de crête\, Montagne Noire GMEA\, Sbire records\, Wide Ear Records\, Newwaveofjazz\, Another Timbre\, Confront Recordings\, Pan y rosas discos\, UNRec\, Insub. Records\, Le petit label\, Thödol\, Gamut Edition. She is the author of “Fictation” (Gamut\, 2020) and “Tuareg Music. From political symbolism to aesthetic singularization” (L’Harmattan\, 2012).\nMarina Tantanozi is a Basel-based flutist and improviser from Greece. She explores music-making in numerous settings based on improvisation\, reflecting on the notions of communication\, temporality and active listening. She combines voice\, microtonal textures and electronic processing in order to create a personal language and to expand the technical and expressive possibilities of her instrument. Active in numerous artistic and curatorial contexts\, she has collaborated with musicians and collectives all over Europe. She performs as a soloist\, as well as with the insub meta Orchestra\, Bottom Orchestra\, trio tangent+mek\, Eden/Loriot/Tantanozi trio\, duo with Andria Nicodemou\, duo Silvan Schmidt\, duo with Tom Malmendier among many others. Her work has been presented in major festivals such as Irtijal Beirut\, Borderline Athens\, Copenhagen Jazz Festival\, Willisau Jazz Festival\, Archipel Genéve\, Rümlingen Neue Musik Festival etc. \nGeschiebe | Berz / Chualan / Voglsinger:\nSimon Berz – Steine\, Elektronik\nKasho Chualan – präpariertes Klavier\nStefan Voglsinger – Nagra\, Elektronik \nUnterwasseraufnahmen vom Rauschen von Flusssteinen versetzen den Resonanzraum des Klaviers in Schwingung. Chualan präpariert das Instrument\, während Voglsinger die Klänge mit Open-Source-Elektronik und analogen Bandmaschinen filtert und transformiert. Berz komplettiert das Trio mit geologischen Soundexperimenten auf isländischen Vulkansteinen und Live-Elektronik.\nGeschiebe knüpft an die ortsspezifische Arbeit von Transceiver (Mamka Records MAM07\, 2024) an und erweitert diese um ein akustisches Instrumentarium\, das mit externen Klangräumen verschmilzt. DESCRIPTION:MISTAKEN FRUITS\nMistaken Fruits ist eine musikalische Versuchsanordnung über Beziehung\, Übersetzung und Missverständnis. Aus einer langjährigen Zusammenarbeit von Komponist und Performer entstanden\, untersucht das Stück die Syntax zwischen improvisiertem und komponiertem Material. Im Zentrum steht eine rein akustische Kommunikation: Klang wird geformt\, umgeleitet und transformiert\, Sprache erscheint als Material\, das sich ebenso verschiebt wie Bedeutung. Ein Elektromagnet fungiert dabei als eine Art klanglicher Übersetzer zwischen den beiden Musikern. In dieser surrealen Situation verschwimmen die Grenzen zwischen ihren Intentionen\, Gesten und Rollen. Handlung und Reaktion werden ununterscheidbar\, Ursache und Wirkung gleiten ineinander. Mistaken Fruits versteht das Missverständnis nicht als Fehler\, sondern als produktiven Raum – einen Ort\, an dem Klang\, Körper und Sprache neue\, unerwartete Beziehungen eingehen.\nDario Fariello ist Saxophonist mit Schwerpunkt auf improvisierter Musik. Nach seinem Studium der Musikwissenschaft in Bologna gründete er das Bologna Improvisers Orchestra und tourte international mit verschiedenen Projekten\, u. a. der Jazz-Core-Band Luther Blissett. Seit 2011 arbeitete er von Berlin aus mit Musikerinnen wie Tristan Honsinger und DJ Kolonel Blip und gründete die nomadische Festivalreihe Multiversal. Heute lebt er in Oslo und ist in zahlreichen Improvisationsprojekten aktiv. Er arbeitete mit Künstlerinnen wie Gino Robair\, Eugene Chadbourne\, Butch Morris oder Harri Sjöström zusammen\, kuratiert Konzerte bei der Oslo Badstuforening und ist Mitglied des Konzertkollektivs Fritt Fall.\nAlexander Chernyshkov ist Komponist\, Improvisator und Instrumentenbauer. Er studierte Komposition in Wien u. a. bei Chaya Czernowin und Karlheinz Essl. In seiner Arbeit erforscht er akustische und mechanische Klangkörper – etwa Rohre\, Motoren\, Relais oder Elektromagnete –\, mit denen er Instrumente transformiert und erweitert. Zentral ist dabei sein Konzept des Error Theater: ein performatives Musiktheater\, das mit provozierten Missverständnissen\, Instabilität und Wandel arbeitet. Seine Werke wurden international von Ensembles und auf Festivals wie Wien Modern\, der Biennale Musica Venedig oder dem Steirischen Herbst aufgeführt. Neben seiner kompositorischen Tätigkeit ist er als Performer in der Wiener Improvisationsszene aktiv und arbeitet regelmäßig mit internationalen Musiker*innen. DESCRIPTION:Formed in 1995 by Makoto Kawabata at the same time as the Acid Mothers Temple Soul Collective.\nThe group released its debut album in 1997 on PSF Records (Japan)\, and it was selected as one of the year’s best albums in the The Wire magazine (UK). In 1998 the group played their first tours of the US and Europe. Since then the group has released a huge number of albums on labels from many different countries. As of 2017\, the group has released around 80 albums. Every year since 1998\, they have toured extensively in the US and Europe\, and more recently have started performing around Asia and in Japan too.\nThe group has performed in collaboration with many musicians including psychedelic originators Gong and Guru Guru\, Simeon (Silver Apples)\, Nik Turner (Hawkwind)\, and the Occitanian trad sinder Rosina de Peira. Japanese collaborators have included Afrirampo\, Tatsuya Yoshida (Ruins)\, Maso Yamazaki (Masonna)\, Seiichi Yamamoto (Boredoms)\, Jun Kuriyama (The Ox)\, and many others.\nDuring pandemic\, they launched their official Bandcamp\, have released more than 60 albums (including many unreleased materials)\, and have toured in Japan in each year. And they played the streaming festival “Levitation Sessions”.
