DESCRIPTION:TRANSCRIPTIONS OF MY PIANO STUDENTS’ PLAYING \nIn this solo piano performance\, composer-performer Federico Pozzer plays transcriptions of recordings of his piano students attempting to interpret famous pieces. These recordings—captured during one-to-one piano lessons—are filled with irregular rhythms\, hesitations\, long silences\, “wrong” notes\, and unexpected dynamic choices.\nFederico transcribed them precisely and is going to perform them himself. The result is a tender\, strange\, and subtly disorienting collection of pieces that hover between recognition and distortion.\nWell-known melodies emerge but altered by the fragile gestures of children in the act of learning.\nThis project treats error as expression and listening as a form of\ncare. By inviting us to hear the beauty in musical imperfection\, both humorous and haunting\, the performance aims to challenge what we expect from music\, memory\, and the so-called “correct.”\nAudio Examples:\n\nWebsite: \nhome
