SUMMARY:Conflux Festival
DESCRIPTION:Conflux 2025 theme: Rites of Decay\n\n\n\nAs we navigate an increasingly technologized world\, the boundaries between human ritual and mechanical routine continue to blur. Building on three years of investigating human-machine relationships\, Conflux Festival returns in 2025 to examine how ritual practices\, traditionally vehicles for creating meaning and community\, are being transformed in our dystopian present and near future.\n\n\nDifferent Venues – visit the website!\nhttps://www.confluxfestival.nl/programme-2025/\nhttps://www.confluxfestival.nl/programme-2025/

SUMMARY:14 lessons of somatic movement and dance
DESCRIPTION:This fall cycle features 14 lessons of somatic movement and dance\, open to everyone\, regardless of previous experience. Immerse yourself in your body and explore the movement that arises directly from it\, then collaborate with other dancers. \nIn these lessons\, we will slow down\, soften\, and deepen our awareness—exploring breath\, touch\, and body parts through experiential movement work\, combining improvisation and contemporary dance technique. The lessons will also foster sensitivity to the poetry of dance—our own and that of others. \nWHAT WILL WE DO?\nWe will be based on experiential anatomy of the body and other inspirations drawn from techniques such as Body-Mind Centering\, the Skinner Releasing Technique\, and other relaxation approaches in dance. These help relax the body\, expand movement possibilities\, and deepen your relationship with your body. For advanced dancers\, they offer a deepening of presence and new movement qualities\, while for beginners\, they offer a sensitive introduction to dance without the pressure to perform. The experiential part of the course then leads to opening one’s attention from the inside of the body to the outside – to the space and the other dancers. Some courses also focus on the non-violent teaching of contemporary dance techniques according to the current needs of the group.\nThe course is open to everyone\, regardless of previous experience. If you’re not sure if it’s right for you\, come along and try the first class\, which is held as an open class.\nWHEN: Thursdays 6:30–8:00 PM (Arrival in the dressing room possible from 6:15 PM)\nDates: September 18\, September 25\, October 2\, October 9\, October 16\, October 23\, October 30\, November 6\, November 13\, November 20\, November 27\, December 4\, December 11\, December 18\, 2025\nWHERE: Radnická 8\, Brno\, Dance Hall (3rd floor)\nPRICE:\nFor participation in the entire cycle: 3\,500 CZK (250 CZK per lesson)\nFor one-time participation: 250 CZK for the open introductory lesson\, 350 CZK for additional lessons Classes\nWe recommend participation in the entire cycle. If this is not possible\, we can also arrange one-time participations.\nREGISTRATION AND QUESTIONS: Register by September 11th using the form https://forms.gle/d4utkErSVGm2aRwq9. Please direct any questions to corpomira.dance@gmail.com.\nFurther information: https://www.corpomira.cz/telo-se-diva/\nABOUT THE TEACHERS\nMichaela Ondrašinová\nI have been dancing for over 20 years and specialize in contemporary dance\, improvisation\, and spontaneous composition. In fall 2022\, I completed an intensive program at TIP – School for Dance\, Improvisation and Performance (Freiburg\, Germany). Since 2023\, I have been teaching dance classes to the public\, but I also devote myself to my own work and participate as a performer in other dance and movement theater projects. As a dancer\, I regularly participate in FreeForms evenings and workshops (Brno\, Vienna\, Trieste) – dialogues between improvised music\, dance\, and other art forms.\nYou can find more information about me here: https://drive.google.com/…/111oiWEl5Ad588H4Rp…\nTereza Juráková\nI began dancing when I was looking for support and a path to myself. Movement helped me stay connected with myself and the world – and it has been my home ever since. I studied somatic dance\, improvisation\, and especially spontaneous composition with various European teachers\, primarily Roberta Legros\, but also with Lily Kiara\, Maya M. Carroll\, and Agostina D’Alessandro. Today\, I work as a performer and am increasingly fascinated by my own work. In my classes\, I pass on what my teachers have taught me while simultaneously remaining in the role of an explorer myself – because for me\, dance is an endless dialogue.

SUMMARY:F(r)ictive Frequencies
DESCRIPTION:Doors open 19:00 | Concert 20:00 | Tickets (only at the door) sliding scale 7-15 €\n– DAS – Daphne and Simpson – Obsolte machines and talking hats\n– Ignatz Höch + Hannah Mouse: twitching mass of asymmetrical insects and spray glue in the shape of a woman\n– Winona Lin and Frank – sampling\, feedback\, objects\, improvised \nF(r)ictive frequencies\, formerly Strings attach/ed\, names a very irregular concert series for irregular methods\, languages and existences: noise\, experimental\, atonal\, spoken word\, minimalism and maximalism\, DIY\, the violence of discovery\, the unlikelihood of existing\, and many many other niceties. \nIgnatz Höch + Hannah Mouse\nhttps://ignatzhoch.bandcamp.com\nPro Bio: Judy Greta Moore is a multifunctional artist and a busy little bee. She makes comics\, Hi-NRG goth music and teaches art. Her music is politically aggressive and aggressively sugary\, inspired by among other things\, theatrical post punk\, trans girl bedroom pop and mid century jazz vocalists. She’s exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery London\, The Institute of Contemporary Art London\, The Freud Museum London\, The Museum of Communication Berlin\, Whose Museum Malmo\, among others. \nDAS (Dafne And Simpson)\nObsolete machines and talking hats.\nA kabelsalat of glitched moving images and soft noise.\nhttps://agentecostura.art\nhttps://dafnenarvaezberlfein.de \nWinona Lin and Frank\nWinona Lin – Information and links coming soon\nFrank creates a unique soundscape in the transition from noise to music. He has arranged his improv set with hints of melodies\, sporadic rhythms\, and sound structures formed by a variety of analog sound samples. These are integrated into the digital signals of a no-input mixer. Another element is a modified resonator guitar. Driven by a motor\, a coil\, and a closed circuit\, its strings are set into permanent vibration\, generating an endless sustain. This results in a radical transformation of both the sound and the handling of the instrument. \nFrictive Frequencies is a series of experimental\, avantgarde or just plainly weird music handpicked by GubbiAnn (another hat\, for music and sound\, of Ann Antidote) \nContact Ausland if you consider attending and need accommodations and/or check what the possibilities are.
