DESCRIPTION:LOSCIL ist das elektronische Musikprojekt des kanadischen Komponisten und Multimedia-Künstlers Scott Morgan. Seit über 20 Jahren hat Morgan unter dem Namen LOSCIL ein umfangreiches Werk aufgebaut\, das sich stilistisch zwischen Ambient\, klassischer und elektroakustischer Musik bewegt.\nIm Mai 2025 kehrt LOSCIL mit »Lake Fire« zurück – einem neunteiligen Werk voller aschegetränkter Klanglandschaften\, die die Spannung im Kreislauf von Zerstörung und Erneuerung ausloten. »Lake Fire« ist das Ergebnis eines fragmentierten kreativen Prozesses. Das Ergebnis gleicht einem Phönix: ein Album\, das niedergebrannt und aus seiner eigenen Asche neu zusammengesetzt wurde. \nPatricia Wolf ist Musikerin\, Sounddesignerin und Field Recordist und lebt in Portland\, Oregon. Ihre Arbeit vereint auf klangliche Weise die natürliche und die moderne Welt\, indem sie ökologische Klangquellen in ihre minimalistischen elektronischen Kompositionen integriert. Mit Melodien und Wiederholungen zieht sie die Hörer*innen in einen hypnotischen Innenraum\, in dem sie lebendige Klangtexturen und Atmosphären mit emotionaler Tiefe erschafft.

What sets the orchestra apart is its use of compositional fragments as the driving force behind guided improvisation. Striving to merge the resonant power of an orchestral sound with the fluidity of a smaller combo\, the performance highlights the interplay between the orchestra and the conductor\, at times bursting with theatrical expressionism.
