Release Party & Video Presentation: Oberdorfer/Lepenik: “Unstable Realism” / Bureau Le Fou
The starting point for Oberdorfer/Lepenik’s album “Unstable Realism” is the two musicians’ interest in sine tones, which, as overtone-free tones that do not occur naturally, are particularly suitable for use in their soundscapes. They employ a variety of sound generators, from historical analog laboratory oscillators to the Pure Data programming language. Videos were also produced for the five pieces, which will be presented at the release party.
“Unstable Realism” is the first of five releases on “Bureau Le Fou,” the newly founded platform for experimental music. The platform is entirely non-commercial (free streaming and downloads) and also serves as a networking and dissemination platform: https://bureaulefou.org/
