Over the Bush
With Over the Bush, Øüð opens a three-and-a-half-minute piece that immediately oscillates between bizarre sonic comedy and subtle menace. Fragmented loops, microtonal twists, and unexpected pauses create a terrain somewhere between improvised chamber music and Dadaist radio play.
Hagar del sol y su danza
picks up where it left off, but takes the proceedings into a more rhythmic, almost dance-like form. The title promises sun and movement, but Øüð delivers a surreal variation: bars crumble, melodies appear and disappear again, like figures in a heat haze.
Farewell to Soldiers
ends the trilogy on an almost elegiac note. Here, fragile, almost hymnic motifs mingle with soundscapes reminiscent of distant marching sounds—as if observing a parade from a dream.
Mold 13 shows Øüð as a master of controlled absurdity: music that can tip at any moment—into the comic, the tragic, the unknown.
